Reading The Lark Studio Series Furniture Books.

I was lucky to get the last copies of these - the Lark Studio Series' Chair and Tables. I bought them last Christmas vacation from Fully Booked in Gateway Mall at Cubao, Quezon City.

I stumbled upon these pocket size books on a visit to that bookstore months before but I didn't have the money then. They were a perfect Christmas gift to myself since I did not have much to do when I spent the holidays in the province.

Art In The Park. We Contemplated.

We have proven that art has the power to wake our lazy butts.

No, I'm not a Noranian but I like this. Veteran actress, "Superstar" Nora Aunor.

A Day In My Imagination.

For the first time, I'm giving this little corner of mine a much needed upgrade:

 A BLOG HEADER!

It took me three weeks to finish this doodle project. I got the inspiration from this illustration book called "Illustration School Let's Draw Happy People" by Sachiko Umoto.

Saying Hello To 2013.

After nearly two weeks of spending the Christmas vacation (plus the New Year's celebration) almost away from the computer, I'm back to say...

In case you didn't get what the zero is, it's a rolled mattress.

My Eiga Sai Experience.

Determination.

That's what I learned from the Eiga Sai Film Festival 2012. Well, 60 percent of it came from the fact that watching the films was free. The rest? The Shangri-La Mall mainly hosted this event (annually!) and that mall is a five-minute ride from where I'm staying; I'm not a die-hard fan but I can say that I like almost anything about the Japanese culture (I'm an anime fan by the way); Eiga Sai is something different from the things that take up my current normal day so I wanted to try.

Skylight and Butterflies.

Just a quick post about what I've seen today. I went to the mall, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, along with my mom and niece to stroll. We happened to drop by the Atrium on the 5th floor and I got the urge to take pictures of the skylight and the hanging paper butterflies. I thought the compulsion came really late as I've been seeing these things for many times whenever I pass by that area.

Atrium skylight.

Hanging paper butterflies.

Probably, there was something about this day. Maybe inspiration just struck me.

Another Fresh Start.

For many months now, I've been really itching to get back to blogging.  I had a blog that ran as Jasper On The Loose from 2010 to the middle of 2011.  Unfortunately, I got plagued with the depression of being unable to post anything.  However, I realized I was wrong to think that I had nothing to post when in fact so many things have happened on those down times. It was bad for me to even forget that the important part of blogging is to express myself.

And hallelujah! I finally pulled all the might (yes, you might have just read that on the About Me section of the blog but I'm speaking of this force in general) to bring back myself to expressing a lot of things - my interest, musings, what-not.  So Jas Saying, which I played with the common phrase by replacing 'just', is intended to be a collection of my thoughts, everyday life, and interests, particularly on interior and furniture concepts, illustrations and anything that takes on art.  This is one channel, that I really hope, will help me push myself further to make my dream come true.  Lately, I've been exposed to many things that inspire me.  As I begin to form this blog, I will be taking those inspirations on the posts that I will be making.  For now, this is just a start.
